I am wondering if there are perhaps 24 other people interested in trying to informally organize a raid to get an extra stab at getting some tier loot from Emalon?

The outline I am thinking is as follows:

When: Wed
Time: 8-11pm server
Rulez: 1 need per raid

Now, since this is based on WG ownership the start time/end time is a bit tricksy. So here is what I am thinking:
Check status of WG at 7:30 server. Depending on that status of WG and any possible transitions will determine if we have a raid that night assuming we have the requisite number of people. The raid itself will probably only take 15-30mins.

You can Count me in, on either character as you need. I do Have 9-Man at 8:30 though so...if it's possible to try earlier It might be easier for me.

I've been hoping someone would form a formal raid. If there is enough interest in for 2 or more raids we could almost certainly control wintergrasp as the first "encounter"

I am just gauging interest in the impromptuness that it mostly requires. If we can get at least 10 'hey I will try and be available' commitments then we can at least do the 10 man one if we own/will own shortly WG.

"Hey, I will try to be available." :D

I do think this is a great idea for a more casual MCA. I can't promise to be there every time, but it sounds fun. I have the opposite problem as Korhath. I usually don't get on till 8 pm so the later, the more likely. I'll see if I can round up people though and you may want to advertise in the MCA channel a bit to catch the slackers that don't read the boards.
Relax its just loot.
Wait... forget I said that. It's loot!
Here let me link it in case you forgot the stats.

I'll also try to be on when I can. I can't guarantee I'll always be around, because this is pushing me to raiding up to 6 nights a week, which I can only sustain through the summer, but for the next several weeks I can try to be on for it.

I suppose part of this would come down to peoples aversion to PUG fill ins. I did a 25 man Emalon this weekend, wiped 2x before we got it down in a PUG. Unfortunately no shaman loot - but hey 2 emblems. -=0

The earliest I would normally be available would be 7 server. Which is why I figured the normal pie time would work best.

I could go on one of my DPS types or my healadin -- though like Kor, I have to be at 9man at 8:30 (and probably a little earlier, since I'm the one doing 9man invites if the raid leader is stuck at work).

I don't mind PuGs, especially for a raid of this nature, and even if this raid ends up 50% MCA and 50% PuG, I think it'll still be a win.

In any case, this isn't the kind of raid I'd be able to do every week, but if I'm on and I see you asking, I'd go.

You might want to plug this raid during Pie, since unlike Bruce, we don't do this raid during normal raid hours. It's a good way to get a leg up on Tier8.

Setting up an earlier time seems like it would work best. That way if WG looks locked up for a while we can all go about our beezwax or have some fun doing some other pvp related adventures.

Turael and I will shoot for 7pm invites with an "all in" at 7:30 starting this week.

In the event that the zone will be contested, it would also be wise for you to form your raid and help defend or take back the keep. A coordinated group on vent far more effective than the people running around randomly in WG and will greatly improve your odds of actually having an opportunity to raid.

So from what i can grok about raid comp for Emmy 25.

2 Tanks
5 Healers
18 DPS

I read that you can potentially mana drain Emmy to prevent the CL which is a big source of raid damage. Which if true, would be very useful.

So with the success of our last one we are going to try again this week Wed if the zone cooperates. This time I think we will try and start forming up whenever the zone is ready. But not before 7pm server.

I won't be around tonight to act as head puppet for this raid. So if someone else wishes to form up on their own please feel free. :)
