Just in case your boss mod screaming at you to taunt isn't enough as a tank:

WeakAura to yell at you to taunt as long as you have your co-tank focused.

On that's pretty nice.

Also folks although I hate making big changes after we've invested a lot of time, we might try going with the Line of Sight positioning on Ursoc, so check out that video. That's the first video of the three Cal posted above.

Blame me, I suggested it.

My thought, based on the video, is that it will help with several issues:

The tanks having camera issues because they are backed into the wall.
The tanks taking stacks of Momentum accidently.
It should be less of a pain to get the boss where you want him.
Less of the floor should be covered with Miasma.

The positioning is very similar to what we are already doing so the change isn't very radical.

  • Tank the boss with his side to the outer wall with him facing the way we are moving.
  • The raid all stacks loosely behind / near the tanks.
  • Targeted person still runs to middle.
  • Soak group still will move to the bears side instead of behind him.
  • Tanks will wait for the bear to return and tank him in place until his first Roaring Cacophony. (Possibly move forward a bit so the Miasma has better overlap.)
  • Tanks and raid will then just backup far enough for the tanks to not be standing in Miasma.
  • Move back enough to be out of the next Miasma after the second Roaring Cacophony.
  • Repeat

And for tanks (some of you had practice at this last week):

Tank 1 starts the fight and gains 1 stack of Overwhelm
Tank 2 taunts, and gains Rend Flesh
Tank 1 taunts back, and gains a 2nd stack of Overwhelm
Tank 2's Rend Flesh will fall off
Tank 2 taunts and takes the next Overwhelm, now having 1 stack
Tank 1's Overwhelm stacks fall off
Tank 1 taunts and takes the next Rend Flesh
Tank 2 taunts back, and gains a 2nd stack of Overwhelm
Tank 1's Rend Flesh will fall off
Tank 1 taunts and takes the next Overwhelm, now having 1 stack

Repeat until we win.

This can be summarized as "every time your co-tank gains a debuff, taunt; every time you lose a debuff, taunt"

Yeah the change looks good enough to be worth it in this case.

An alternative weakaura:

Description:
This is a simple WA that displays a prominent, glowing taunt icon in the center of your screen for 1s whenever you should taunt during the Ursoc encounter in Emerald Nightmare. To use it, simply install and set your co-tank as your focus.

Details
The WA follows the logic described in the Wowhead guide. Whenever your co-tank gains a stack of Overwhelm or Rend Flesh, it activates. Whenever you lose a stack of either debuff, it activates. Unfortunately, it's unable to detect when you've taunted the boss, so the icon will remain even after you have taunted, or might disappear before you have a chance to.
Note: I haven't tried either of these so ymmv.

(really I just wanted an excuse to try to make dynamic code embed for weakauras. Either click the copy link or double click the code box to select all. Highlighting the visible code will not get everything. The embed should always show the current update of the string if it is ever updated)
